Concept of lecture schedule
The DSEP program is designed to encourage steady progress in research by providing substantial input through lectures, interaction through camps, opportunities for in-depth learning and output, and a step-by-step arrangement of presentations of research concepts, interim presentations, and final presentations. The program is designed for students to learn throughout the year and to present the results of their research papers, etc.
Explanation of Terms
Recap:Time to reflect on the content of each session, organize learning, share insights, and confirm actions for the next session.
Training camp Team building:A time for third-term students to deepen exchanges and get to know each other in order to study together as the same group for a year.
Camp Research Capstone:A time for intensive discussion to share the progress of the research and outputs and to improve their completion in preparation for the final presentation.
Research concept presentation:Time to present interest in research and output, awareness of issues, hypotheses, etc., and confirm direction.
Interim research presentation:Time to present the objectives, background, methodology, and anticipated results of the research and outputs, and to organize progress and issues.
Final presentation of research:Time to summarize and present research and output results.
Workshop (National Disaster Management X-Year Plan):Time to analyze possible events and study solutions based on the assumption that an earthquake directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area will occur in 10, 30, or 50 years.
